IT TROUBLES ME, DOES IT TROUBLE YOU?
OUR FATE'S IN THE HANDS OF GEORGE W
HE WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT
AT ANY COST
A WHITE HOUSE RESIDENT
EVEN THOUGH HE LOST
AND NOW HE SEES AN EMPIRE, OUR FLAG UNFURLED
OVER THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD
NOT THE U.S. of A. BUT THE U.S. of the W.
IT TROUBLES ME, DOES IT TROUBLE YOU?

THE DOUBLETHINKER DOUBLESPEAKS
PEACE IS WAR, WAR IS PEACE
TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH
SERVICE CUTS FOR THE POOR
EXACTLY WHO WILL PAY THE BILLS
FOR ENDLESS WAR.
BU-DUMB BU-DUMB BU-DUMB
BEAT BEAT BEAT THE DRUM
RATATAT RATATAT TAT
THE MOUSE WILL EAT THE CAT
HE SEES AN EMPIRE, OUR FLAG UNFURLED
OVER THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD
NOT THE U.S. of A. BUT THE U.S. of the W.
IT TROUBLES ME, DOES IT TROUBLE YOU?

THE MEDIA, AVOID THE TEDIA
OF HARD NEWS
THE READY-MADE PRESS RELEASE
IS EASIA TO USE
WITHOUT THE INCONVENIENCE
OF PAYING A PRESS CREW
EVERYTHING IS SPOON-FED
FROM THE WHITE HOUSE
TO YOU.

HE SEES AN EMPIRE, OUR FLAG UNFURLED
OVER THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD
THE U.S. of the W, OF THE W MD
DOES IT TROUBLE YOU, IT TERRIFIES ME
THE U.S. OF THE W. M.D.'S
DOES IT TERRIFY THE SHOCKED AND AWED IRAQI
WHO NOW HAS FREEDOM AND LIBERTY
TERRORIST HAVENS, ANARCHY
INSTEAD OF SADAM
SODOMY
NAKED MEN PILED IN A HEAP,
BITTEN BY DOGS, DEPRIVED OF SLEEP
BEATEN, FROZEN, BAGS OVER HEADS
COALITION OF THE WILLING, COALITION OF THE KILLING, COLLECTING THE DEAD
IRAQ NOW, IRAN NEXT
READ THE SUB-TEXT
OH SAY CAN YOU SEE, OH SAY CAN YOU SEE, ANY W-MD

IRAQ SOCKED IRAQ SACKED
HOW MANY IRAQI CASUALTIES
DOES ANYONE KEEP TRACK?
AND HOW MANY WOUNDED AMERICANS
COMING BACK?
OH SAY CAN YOU SEE, OH SAY CAN YOU SEE
BODY BAGS RETURNING INVISIBLY
OH SAY CAN YOU SEE, OH SAY CAN YOU SEE
IRAQ'S WMD'S
IRAQ SOCKED, MUSEUM SACKED
THE ROCKETS RED GLARE
THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR
GAVE PROOF THROUGH THE NIGHT
THE WELLS WERE STILL THERE
O. W. OIL WELLS
OH, W'S OIL WELLS STILL THERE
OH, W, STILL HERE
NO W MD
W IS FOR WELLS
W IS FOR WEAPONS
W IS FOR WORLD
W IS FOR WAR
W IS FOR WEEP

Utopian subStation was represented through audio formats, a CD and the streaming of interviews, music, poetry, and radio drama into a larger exhibition space called Utopian Space Station located in Venice Biennale. Martha Rosler and the FLEAS collective requested friends and family to participate in the dreaming of a better world.

Pumpkin World represents a utopian setting. Opened in 1997 by brothers Xavier and Didier Leplae, it is a free space that functions as a recording studio, film/video store, restaurant, film making co-op, and gathering place of artists living or visiting Wisconsin.
